ACTING UP
Students learn technique, preparation, and basic acting skills through experience!  This class culminates with the
performance of a short play or one-act.  Students are encouraged to invite friends and family for the final performance.
See below on schedule of current opportunities.

EXTREME IMPROV
Improvisation is an important tool for actors.  Playing games that focus on language, physicality, humor, and quick
thinking, students begin an improv adventure.  Ending in a short performance, students are able to showcase their
development.  Family and friends are encouraged to attend the final  performance.

CREATE-A-PLAY
As a shorter version of GRP Plays!, students write, produce, and act in their own original play.  Ending in a final
performance that friends and family are invited to, students are able to showcase what they have created!

PLAY IN MINIATURE
This acting workshop allows students to venture through a variety of short scenes exploring various characters,
emotions, and ideas.  Choosing their best work, students team up to perform in an evening of "shorts".  Family and
friends are encouraged to attend.

RECYCLING DESIGN
This program incorporates innovative thinking and teamwork with costume design.  Guided through the costume design
process, students work together to create original designs using recycled items. Teams will turn "garbage" into "grand",
creating outlandish, crafty, sleek, and very unique designs.

COSTUME DESIGN
Guided through the design process, students create original costumes.  After generating character driven designs,
students will present their costumes and development ideas in a final exhibit.  Students are encouraged to invite family
and friends to final presentations. Students may have the opportunity to design for an actual GRP production.

COSTUME CONSTRUCTION
Provided with a costume design, students will work together to produce an actual costume piece while learning sewing
basics, and other costume construction skills. Students may have  the opportunity to construct costumes for an actual
GRP production!

SCENIC DESIGN
Students will read a short play, develop a list of scenic needs, research, and finally, design an original set.  After building
3-D models of their designs, students will present their work in a final exhibit.  Family and friends are encouraged to
attend final presentations. Students may have the opportunity to design for an actual GRP production.
